Went to North East Family Restaurant, in North East, Maryland of course, yesterday to have lunch with a bunch of elderly nurses that I used to work with many years ago when we were all much, much younger. I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars for ambiance, service, and food. This family restaurant is excellent. The restaurant is clean, neat, and laid out in such a way that the tables are not jammed together. It's easy to maneuver to and from the table even if you're disabled. The service was excellent. Our group of 6 had one servers and a busser. We had just as much attention from the staff as we needed. They didn't hover, but they also didn't ignore our needs. The staff people were friendly and efficient. The food was served promptly. They serve breakfast all day. Some of us had breakfast, and some of us had lunch. I had a hamburger steak with fried onions. It was well prepared, juicy, and delicious. The salad, baked potato, and onion rings that came with it were very good. The portions were generous. There's plenty of free parking in their parking lot outside. Parking and restaurant are wheelchair accessible.

This is a very cozy restaurant and they have really great food at a great price. I'd definitely recommend a visit here if you're in the area. I wouldn't recommend spending money on the jukebox though. The speakers are so far apart that you probably won't hear anything unless you're underneath them.

If you enjoy the diner style food and vibe then this spot is for you. It has a laid back friendly atmosphere. The menu has a lot of options all at decent prices, especially the kids menu. We went on burger day, so we all had a burger, fries and a cup of soup. It was a lot, definitely filling and I wasn't able to finish all of mine. Our daughters burger was nearly the same size as ours, so one thing they don't do is small portions. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. Meatloaf is amazing! With the gravy and fries... delicious!!

Normally I avoid places with "family" in the name; too many seem to have only mediocre food. This place is a welcome exception. We stopped here because we dislike eating at chains, with their formulaic food and indifferent service. This place is really quite good. Nice menu, lots of selections, good service, nice staff. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good breakfast just off I-95.

Great simple diner. Came here for breakfast and had the corned beef hash breakfast burrito. Packed and filled with eggs, CBH, potatoes, and wrapped with a flaky crust. I was only able to eat half during my stay and the other half tasted just as good later on in the afternoon. I'd come again

I had the crab meat eggs Benedict and it was fantastic. A total 10/10 for me personally. Service was fantastic and while my buddy did not like the skillet he ordered, they did not charge him for it. Such a nice spot. Thank you for the wonderful food!

North East Diner is one of our favorite breakfast places. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is great! I appreciate that they are quick to refill our coffee and the food is served quick.

We LOVE this restaurant. The family oriented atmosphere, staff always go above and beyond to make your experience amazing. The food is delicious and not dripping with grease like other restaurants. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
